Leading Network Rails Portfolio Consolidation, Workplace Strategy, and Design Development

Network Rail wished to consolidate its operations from a number of locations across London and Croydon into a new location near to its main hub at London Bridge.  The objective of this exercise was to bring together these dispersed business areas for the first time within a modern, high performing workplace environment.  

Key to the success of the project was the development of a workplace strategy, design and change management solution that enabled teams to work collaboratively in the delivery of day to day operational activities and major project investment programs.

Throughout the entire design process we engaged with business user groups, co-designing the environment considering workforce agility, operational adjacencies, culture, wellbeing, brand and identity.  We delivered a detailed operational statement of requirements, a detail design for their new workplace and managed a thorough change and relocation management process throughout.

Due the depth of engagement we were able to articulate the specialist requirements of the route and technical infrastructure teams creating a workplace that reflected their specific needs, delivering greater integration across the once dispersed business activities.
